Affirming the potential of women to achieve remarkable accomplishments with determination and government support, the launch of the fourth phase of Mission Shakti celebrated several women for their notable contributions in diverse fields. In this stage of Mission Shakti, the state government has taken significant measures to enhance the well-being of women.

Initiated in 2020, Mission Shakti aims to ensure the safety, dignity, and self-reliance of women. Notably, there has been a substantial increase in the recruitment of women in the Uttar Pradesh Police, surging from the initial 10,000 women personnel between 1947 and 2017 to an impressive 40,000. The success of Mission Shakti is evident in the observed decline in crimes against women, as indicated by NCRB data.

•Looking forward to Mission Shakti 4.0, the Uttar Pradesh government is poised to launch a comprehensive campaign to bolster women-centric schemes in the state. The Women and Child Development Department will play a pivotal role in organizing a series of events and campaigns to raise awareness about women's rights in the coming days. This strategic move reflects the government's ongoing commitment to empower women and create a more informed and empowered female population in Uttar Pradesh.
