The Department of Zoology was established in the year 1970. It is now a premier & leading department of this college and region. In the year 1970, B.Sc. Biology classes were started. And M.Sc. Classes in Zoology (Specialization in Entomology) were started in the year 1982.
In the beginning time, the eminent personality, Dr. S. C. Goel was the Head of this esteemed department. There are five regular/permanent posts of Assistant Professors in this department. The department has flourished in the reign of various knowledgeable HoDs who have always envisioned providing the best quality education to the students.
