Arts –

Department of English –

The Department of English was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1956. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 240 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Alka Bansal. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university.

Department of Political Science –

The Department of Political Science was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1956. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 320 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Danvir Singh. This department is also recognized research centre by the university.

Department of Hindi –

The Department of Hindi was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1956. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 320 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Niketa. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university.

Department of Sanskrit –

The Department of Sanskrit was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1957. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 80 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr Vijaylakshmi. This department is also recognized research centre by the university

Department of History –

The Department of History was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1964. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 160 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Ajay Pal Singh. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university.

Department of Drawing & Painting –

The Department of Drawing was established in the year 1955. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 80. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Basant Kumar.

Department of Geography –

The Department of Geography was established in the year 1955 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1979. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 240 and for P.G classes is 30. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Vandana Tyagi. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university.

 

Department of Economics –

The Department of Economics was established in the year 1949 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1956. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 320 and for P.G classes is 60. At present, Head of the department is Dr. Sangita Singhal. this department is also recognized for research centre by the university.

Department of Mathematics –

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1962 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1978. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 160+40 Stats Group and for P.G classes is 60. At present Head of the department is Dr. Rimple Pundir. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university

 

Department of Physics –

The Department of Physics was established in the year 1962 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1966. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 160+40 Stats Group and for P.G classes is 20. At present Head/In charge of the department is Prof. (Smt.) Neelam Sinha. This department is also recognized for research centre by the university

Department of Chemistry –

The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1962 and P.G. classes were started in the year 1965. The intake of the department for U.G classes is 80+160=240 and for P.G classes is 20. At present Head/In charge of the department is Dr. Sanjay Kumar Arora. This department is also recognized for research center by the university.
