Founded in 1909 by the visionary Shri Omkar Prasad Bisaria, Sanatan Dharm College, Muzaffarnagar, has been a cornerstone of education in the region for over a century. Initially established as a high school, it became the first Government-Aided High School in Muzaffarnagar district in 1915. In 1949, the institution attained the status of a degree college, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward academic excellence.
Today, Sanatan Dharm College stands as a prestigious post-graduate institution offering comprehensive education across three major faculties—Arts, Science, and Commerce. The college has consistently evolved to meet the needs of modern education, offering a variety of self-financed courses such as B.Com., M.Sc. in Home Science (Food & Nutrition), M.Sc. in Clothing & Textile, M.Com., B.P.Ed., B.C.A., and B.P.E.S . Recently, the employment-oriented B.Voc. (IT) program, approved by UGC under the NSQF scheme, has also been introduced to provide students with valuable vocational training.
In addition to its academic programs, the college hosts a Centre of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), providing flexible learning opportunities for students across disciplines.
